Bear Affair at Woodland Park Zoo
Grizzly bear brothers Keema and Denali show what happens at a campsite when humans don’t secure food and drinks.
Keep all food and drinks tightly secured in bear proof containers. Wash camp dishes and secure all smellables and trash.
“It’s exhausting tearing a cooler apart!” A bear’s sense of smell is 8 times stronger than a dog’s. They can smell food from 20 miles away.
After bears consume human food they will continue to seek it, putting themselves and humans in danger. A fed bear is a dead bear.
“Those coffee grounds were so good!”
Do your part to protect and save our wildlife. Do not feed wild animals!
