Painted Parade

“It is summer, it is the solstice
the crowd is
cheering, the crowd is laughing
in detail
permanently, seriously
without thought.”

Fremont Solstice Parade in Seattle
June 20th, 2015

More than 1500 painted naked cyclists celebrate summer by opening
the annual solstice parade in the artsy Fremont neighborhood.

Cruising nude before the beginning of the
parade has been a Seattle tradition since the early 1990s.

The parade is part of the three day annual Fremont Solstice Fair.
